YOUR ROLE

Our amazing Project Logistics team based in Altens, Aberdeenshire have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and customer-focused Freight Forwarding Supervisor where you will lead a team of experienced export coordinators and support our customers with their specialist import and export transportation needs via air and ocean freight.

This pivotal role will be Monday to Friday, based in our Altens office where you will work alongside an experienced team of freight forwarding professionals.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Project Logistics Operations Manager, you will take a hands-on leadership approach in guiding and supporting this multimodal freight operation ensuring that the team deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence to our clients. You will embed and develop a high performance team, leading from the front, you will be responsible for ensuring all documentation, invoicing, and data quality checks are completed accurately and in line with departmental KPIs, customer expectations, and compliance standards.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will oversee daily team performance, drive a culture of continuous improvement, and foster strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners, including freight carriers and CEVA’s international offices. A key focus will be maintaining high levels of client satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and timely responses to any issues or enquiries.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will bring proven freight forwarding experience ideally within a fast paced air and ocean freight operation. You will be have a strong background in leading and supporting a diverse team with a strong understanding of operational demands across various freight modals.You will be a strong communicator with the ability to form relationships internally and externally, possess excellent customer service skills, be a logical thinker and natural problem solver who can prioritise their own workload with efficiency and accuracy.

You will also have excellent IT skills capable of utilising specialist freight systems (CargoWise) and MS packages such as Outlook and Excel.

This unique team provides support to our clients who have out-of-gauge transportation requests within the oil and gas industry. Therefore, if you have experience of working in an out-of-gauge, heavy haulage or within the oil and gas industry in a freight forwarding role then this could be the perfect position for you.
