Job Title: Freight Branch Manager


Locations: London (Heathrow)


Salary: From £60,000 + Package


Job Summary:

The Freight Forwarding Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the branch's operations, management, and overall performance. This position entails leading a team, nurturing client relationships and driving the branch's profitability and growth.


Duties:

  1. Supervise daily branch operations to ensure smooth and efficient work flows.
  2. Develop and implement effective operational strategies and procedures.
  3. Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to improve operational efficiency.
  4. Recruit, train, and mentor branch staff.
  5. Cultivate a positive and productive work environment.
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  7. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
  8. Address and resolve customer issues and concerns promptly.
  9. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base.
  10. Manage the branch's budget, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  11. Prepare and analyse financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  12. Ensure cost-effective practices without compromising service quality.
  13. Ensure the branch complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  14. Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
  15. Identify and mitigate potential risks to the business.
  16. Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  17. Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  18. Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth.
