Overview

Freight Manager role with international aerospace, defence, motorsport and space customers globally. Backed by a multinational PLC; agile and collaborative in a medium-sized feel.

Responsibilities

• Take a step up into the Freight Manager role or be considered for a progression from freight forwarder, shipping coordinator or logistics coordinator to manage 3rd party logistics providers in a fast-growing international business.
• Manage international freight forwarding and shipping operations, ensuring compliant and smooth transport of goods.
• Develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party logistics providers; negotiate terms and performance.
• Coordinate logistics activities across multiple regions and customers globally.

What we are looking for

• Ambitious candidate in a role doubling in size; able to handle international shipping complexity and compliance.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and vendor management skills.
• People-focused; friendly and engaging with internal teams and suppliers.
• Within approximately 20 miles of Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire.
• Strong attention to detail; SME “doer” mentality in a FTSE 250 PLC-anchored, agile business.

Location

Based in Royal Wootton Bassett; commutable from Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon, Chippenham, Cirencester, Wiltshire.

Salary

Salary TBC; anticipated £40,000 to £45,000 (subject to definition).
