Logistics Coordinator | Whitstable, Kent | c. £30,000 | Full-Time, Office-Based (5 Days/Week)

Are you a detail oriented logistics professional with experience in managing export/import operations and dangerous goods compliance? We're supporting a specialist distributor of scientific and laboratory products in their search for a Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team in Whitstable.

Your day-to-day will involve working closely with freight partners, customs brokers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining up-to-date shipping records and ensuring that all operations meet international regulations (IATA, IMDG, ADR).

Alongside the operational work, you'll keep a close eye on inventory movements, flagging any issues to stakeholders, and suggesting ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years' experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain, ideally with exposure to dangerous goods
  • Solid understanding of customs procedures and international shipping standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with logistics or ERP systems
  • Dangerous Goods certification (IATA, IMDG) would be an advantage
