Location: Warrington - Office-based role | Full-time hours

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to help us expand our exclusive-fleet freight forwarding operation. The successful candidate will manage and develop our freight forwarding team and help to enhance our customer-base, drive profitable subcontractor-led solutions, and ensure seamless delivery, whilst preparing the foundation for a sustainable long-term growth model.

Key Responsibilities Of Freight Forwarding Manager

• Lead, develop, and grow the freight forwarding team to create a profitable and scalable model, capable of handling peak demand periods.
• Negotiate contracts, transportation, and handling costs with third-party providers and subcontractors.
• Act as a key liaison with the sales team to secure sustainable long-term contracts, while managing existing clients as an account manager.
• Map annual revenue targets, deliver high service levels, and develop strategic relationships with customers.
• Oversee sub-contractor network operations.

About You

• Proven experience of developing and managing a freight forwarding operation within a similar freight forwarding role.
• Proven experience of managing customer accounts and developing strong relationships with customers.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-orientated skills, and commercial acumen.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team to achieve targets.
