Job summary

WR Logistics in Solihull is seeking a customer-focused Freight Forwarder to join our global logistics team. The role is full operational, handling ocean import/export shipments from quotation to invoicing, with a strong bias toward ocean freight.

You will manage shipments end-to-end, act as main point of contact for customers, and book freight with lines and agents. Training is provided; no sales targets.

• Previous freight forwarding experience

Responsibilities

• Manage ocean import and export shipments
• Handle end-to-end process from quotation through invoicing
• Act as main point of contact for customers
• Provide accurate quotations and shipment updates
• Book freight with shipping lines, carriers and overseas agents
• Arrange collections, deliveries and international transport
• Prepare and check shipping documentation
• Complete customs documentation where required
• Monitor shipments and resolve delays or issues

We are recruiting for a customer-focused Freight Forwarder to join a global logistics company based in Solihull.

This is a full operational role handling import and export shipments from quotation through to final invoicing. The position has a strong ocean freight bias, although candidates from air freight, road freight or multimodal backgrounds will also be considered.

Training can be provided on freight modes you have not previously handled.

The role
