Freight Forwarding Agent Monday to Friday, GBP25-30k depending on experience, Castle Donington Based. Multi Modal

Are you a highly motivated and experienced Freight Forwarding Agent looking for an exciting new challenge or are you looking to take your first step into a freight forwarding role?

• As a multi modal Freight Forwarding Agent, you'll be at the heart of operations, playing a pivotal role in coordinating the movement of goods via air, ocean, and road.
• As the Freight Forwarding agent you will be taking charge of the entire shipment process, from processing orders and preparing documentation to coordinating with hauliers and managing customs requirements, you'll oversee every step of the journey.
• You'll master the art of completing import and export paperwork, including customs declarations specific to each mode of transport, ensuring compliance every step of the way.
• As the primary point of contact, you will be addressing queries promptly and professionally, negotiating rates, and providing top-notch customer service.

As the Freight Forwarding Agent you will need the following skills and experience:

• A desire to work within the freight forwarding / logistics industry
• A solid foundation in freight forwarding, with a strong grasp of consolidations, HAWBs/MAWBs, and IATA shipment procedures
• In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and customs procedures, including Inward & Outward Processing Reliefs, ensuring smooth and compliant shipments.
• IT literacy and great communication skills
