Location: Coventry (CV6)

Salary: £13.84 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00 (37.5 hours per week, subject to business needs)

Contract: Long-term, Ongoing (Potential for Permanent Placement)

We are recruiting a Freight Forwarder on behalf of our client, a global automotive company handling logistics and distribution across the UK and Europe. This role involves managing transportation, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimising efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Organise transportation solutions to meet customer requirements.
2. Maximise profitability while maintaining high service standards.
3. Provide strong communication and excellent customer service.
4. Identify new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
5. Quote prices for transport services.
6. Monitor shipments, addressing any delays or issues.
7. Source new carriers and maintain relationships with existing ones.
8. Complete general administrative tasks and maintain KPI reports.

Requirements:

1. Experience in logistics or transport.
2. Knowledge of the automotive industry is advantageous but not required.
3. Strong customer service and communication skills.
4. Confident working with computer systems and data management.
5. Ability to liaise with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
