Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional ready to join a high-performing operations team?

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client who is looking for a driven individual to oversee their freight forwarding activities in Belfast, managing multimodal shipments and delivering outstanding service to their clients.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day forwarding operations (air, sea, and road) with a hands-on approach
  • Manage and motivate the operations team to meet performance targets
  • Ensure smooth customs clearance and regulatory compliance
  • Liaise with carriers, agents, and suppliers to coordinate efficient transport
  • Drive process improvements and ensure operational KPIs are met
  • Work closely with customers to provide tailored logistics solutions
  • Resolve escalations quickly and professionally

Criteria

  • Previous experience in freight forwarding/logistics (import & export)
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations and multimodal transport
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable using freight management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of CDS/CHIEF systems and AEO procedures would be beneficial
