Job Title: Customs Freight Coordinator

Locations: Ipswich

Duties:

1. Coordinate shipments to ensure smooth and timely delivery across various freight modes.
2. Assist in market research on freight industry trends, pricing, and service options.
3. Support negotiations with carriers and suppliers to secure competitive rates and enhance cost efficiency.
4. Prepare and process shipping documents, customs paperwork, and ensure compliance.
5. Communicate with customers, provide updates, resolve issues, and offer tailored logistics solutions.
6. Track and monitor shipments, ensuring service levels are maintained and delays addressed proactively.
7. Collaborate with sales and account management teams to support pricing and operational strategies.
8. Utilize data analytics to review shipping costs, identify trends, and contribute to pricing decisions.
9. Maintain accurate records of shipments, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience handling ocean, air, or road freight.
• Experience with freight management systems such as CargoWise, CDS, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of customs clearance processes.
