Your Role

As a Freight Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business and promoting our freight services to potential and existing clients. Your duties will include full account management, from telesales to delivery, aiming to increase profit through effective customer management. We seek enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated individuals with a genuine passion for sales. The ideal candidate will understand each customer's unique needs, offering tailored solutions that add value and demonstrate industry-leading accountability.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Generate new prospect leads and accounts via telephone and face-to-face interactions.
  2. Engage in telesales, face-to-face B2B selling, negotiations, and presentations.
  3. Grow gross profit and meet targets outlined in the Account Manager Scheme.
  4. Achieve sales productivity and revenue goals.
  5. Deliver high-quality internal and external customer care.
  6. Provide accurate, cost-effective quotations to customers.
  7. Prepare weekly/monthly sales activity reports as directed by the Branch Manager.
Your Skills and Experiences
  1. Experience in proactive telesales or cold calling, preferably with outbound telesales.
  2. 2 to 5 years' experience in European road freight.
  3. Experience in generating own sales leads is advantageous.
  4. Proven ability to work towards targets and KPIs.
  5. GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  6. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  7. Ability to influence others effectively.
  8. Full driving license.
