Job summary

Hope Mill Theatre is seeking exceptional freelance workshop facilitators with lived experience of neurodiversity. Successful candidates will deliver drama workshops to empower neurodivergent young people while maintaining high standards. Lead facilitators will also manage projects and liaise with external partners.

Hope Mill Theatre is seeking exceptional freelance drama workshop facilitators with lived experience of Neurodiversity to join our team for an exciting new project. Job Description

All facilitators should have a passion for, and strong knowledge and experience of drama techniques, a history of effective teaching and lived experience of Neurodiversity. They should be enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation to explore their neurodivergence. Tutors should be personable and approachable and maintain and inspire the high standards of Hope Mill Theatre and Respect for All. Tutors should have a strong knowledge of Child Protection protocols and be willing to undertake further training and a DBS check.

We are also looking for a lead facilitator/project manager who will take on some extra responsibilities such as liaising with schools and organisations, driving the artistic focus of the resourse we will be creating, leading on the organisation of the launch event and liaising with the HMT and RA team.

Dates of the Project- July 25 to March 26

Job Requirements

Facilitator hours

  • 2 days training/planning/reflection
  • 3 1.5 hours sessions with HMT Theatre School students
  • 1.5 hour support reflection session - online
  • Between 10 to 15 1.5 hour School/community group workshop between July - January
  • 2 to 3 1.5 hour reflection session for each school/community group

Pay

£25 per hour for all activities - all workshops will be 1.5 hours of teaching time plus 1 hours of reflection/planning.

Lead facilitators hours

  • 2 days training/planning/reflection
  • 3 1.5 hours sessions with HMT Theatre School students
  • 1.5 hour support reflection session - online
  • 20 1.5 hour School/community group workshop between July - January
  • 5 1.5 hour reflection session for each school/community group
  • 1 day a week project management - up to 42 days across the project

Pay

£25 per hour for all facilitation activities - all workshops will be 1.5 hours of teaching time plus 1 hours of reflection/planning.
