Job summary

Consult is supporting a global client with a major Workday Financials programme. We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Solution Architect to join on a freelance basis and own the Financials solution design on a live programme.

You will translate finance requirements into target-state architecture, guide the delivery team through design and build, and act as the senior design authority for Workday Financials, collaborating with Finance stakeholders and the wider project team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Workday Financials Solution Architect or Lead Consultant across multiple full-cycle implementations.
• Deep knowledge of Workday Financials design (chart of accounts, worktags, multi-book accounting, banking and settlement).
• Strong understanding of integration design (EIB, Studio, APIs).

• Leading solution design across Workday Financials.
• Defining the chart of accounts, worktag strategy and ledger structure.
• Owning design decisions and documenting the end-to-end solution architecture.
• Designing integrations and data flows between Workday and other finance systems.
• Running design workshops with Finance stakeholders and turning requirements into solution decisions.
• Reviewing configuration and build to keep the solution consistent and scalable.
• Supporting testing, data migration and go-live readiness from a design perspective.
• Acting as a senior point of escalation and advising on design trade-offs.

We’re supporting a leading global consultancy on a major Workday Financials programme for a large client, and we’re looking for an experienced Workday Financials Solution Architect to join on a freelance basis.

About the role:

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Workday Financials Solution Architect or Lead Consultant across multiple full-cycle implementations
• Deep knowledge of Workday Financials design (chart of accounts, worktags, multi-book accounting, banking and settlement)
• Strong understanding of integration design (EIB, Studio, APIs)
• Experience in retail or multi-entity organisations is a plus
• Experience with Accounting Center, Prism or Adaptive Planning is a bonus
• Comfortable working with senior client stakeholders and with a consulting delivery team
• Workday Pro certification in Financials is desirable
