A SaaS payroll company is looking for a Senior UX Designer to support a key internal tool project during its discovery and design phase. The project focuses on enhancing a SharePoint-based internal insights hub, a tool used by teams across the business to access customer research and strategic insights.
This hub was originally built by a research team, and now needs a UX expert to shape it into a more usable, intuitive and structured experience for internal colleagues of all levels.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading the discovery phase: conducting interviews and workshops with internal colleagues to understand user needs
Mapping and simplifying complex access flows across a 100+ page SharePoint hub
Designing new landing page experiences and information architecture
Creating clear signposting and navigation tailored to different user profiles (from senior leaders to junior staff)
Applying UX thinking to help users “find what they don’t know they’re looking for”
Translating research insights into meaningful design improvements
Updating SharePoint pages directly (you’ll need to be hands-on with the tool)
Collaborating closely with research teams and internal stakeholders to gather input and iterate quickly
What they’re looking for:
Strong background in UX design with solid discovery experience
Able to simplify complexity and translate business needs into usable structures
Comfortable interviewing users and applying insights in real time
Experience working on internal tools, dashboards or content-heavy platforms
Familiar with SharePoint (you’ll be expected to make updates within the system)
A confident communicator who can bring clarity, structure and logic to a project mid-flight
Comfortable working in a collaborative, hands-on way, with direct stakeholder engagement
If you’re a UX designer who thrives in research-heavy environments, can handle ambiguity, and enjoys making complex internal systems clearer and more human, this one’s for you.
