Freelance Tutors for Evening Adult Art Workshops

Job Summary

We are expanding our pool of freelance art tutors to deliver specialist evening workshops and short courses for adult learners.

Job Description

We're especially interested in hearing from arts practitioners who can lead creative sessions in niche or specialist subjects—from calligraphy, life drawing, collage, and experimental textiles, to book arts, zines, illustration, and more.

Tutors should have availability on a weekday evening (Mon-Fri) and be confident in delivering engaging, well-structured learning for adult learners looking to explore, deepen or revive a creative interest.

Location: Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington, TW11 9NN

Contract: Freelance, hourly, part-time

Fee: £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience and expertise

Teaching time: 2- or 3-hour sessions, with 10 sessions per season

Job Requirements
  • A professional or academic background in an arts discipline, either as a practising artist or experienced educator.
  • Proven experience teaching adult learners in community settings.
  • Confident delivery style, excellent communication and strong planning skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
