Freelance Externals Manager
Location: Southwark, Greater London
Rate: £270 - £320/day (DOE)
Duration: 3 - 6 months (with potential extension)

A leading developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential schemes across London. Known for their focus on innovation, sustainability, and placemaking, they’re spearheading a transformative £300m regeneration project in South East London—set to deliver over 700 modern homes and revitalise the local area.
The Opportunity:
We’re seeking an experienced Freelance Externals Manager to oversee key external works on this landmark project. This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record in managing complex packages, including concrete frames, civils, deep drainage, and service installations.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of external works: concrete frame, civils, deep drainage, and services
*
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards
*
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers for seamless delivery
*
Track project progress, manage budgets, and report to stakeholders
*
Attend site meetings and liaise with the wider project team
Requirements:
*
Solid background in managing external works on residential or commercial builds
*
Strong understanding of concrete frames, civils, deep drainage, and service installations
*
Experience in façade systems, roofing, cladding, and drainage is highly desirable
*
Confident in managing subcontractors and resolving on-site issues
*
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
*
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
