Job summary

Cavendish Professionals seeks a Freelance Senior Technical Designer with strong SolidWorks and CAD skills to join a creative studio focused on brand experiences, bespoke installations, and retail environments. You will develop concepts into detailed CAD models, collaborate across design and fabrication teams, and guide production from prototyping to installation.

Qualifications

Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks, CAD, Fusion 360, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with 3D printing and rendering software preferred.
Strong understanding of tooling, machining, fabrication, and materials.
Desirable knowledge of electrical/electronic systems.
Ability to produce technical packs and documentation.
Strong Health & Safety awareness and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine concepts from ideas through to technical detail and CAD development.
Collaborate with project management, design, and fabrication teams to optimise delivery.
Oversee prototyping, testing, and production on live projects.
Provide technical project management across design, development, and manufacture.
Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for manufacture and installation.
Mentor junior designers and uphold Health & Safety and sustainability policies.
