Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is seeking a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor for North/West London civil engineering projects on an inside IR35 3-month initial contract. You will lead the commercial performance, provide robust cost management, and report to senior management.

Your duties include preparing CVRs, cost plans, forecasts, monthly cash flow, and managing NEC/IChemE contracts, while guiding subcontract procurement and mitigating commercial risk across the project teams.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveying experience in civil engineering or construction.
• Knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts and Construction Law.
• Experience with subcontract procurement, measurement, accruals and certificates.
• Experience with monthly forecasting, CVRs and cash management.
• Strong numeric, communication and IT skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate cost and value reporting at project and business unit level.
• Produce monthly CVRs, cost plans, forecasts and cash flow reporting.
• Prepare upstream applications for payment and manage to final account.
• Lead subcontract procurement and post-contract management.
• Identify commercial risk and opportunities; advise operational teams.
