Job description

Senior Bookkeeper wanted for clients in or around Manchester

About the Role:

The role is to work with our clients in their business, which could be within a variety of industries including professional services, manufacturing, retail, construction, or technology. We're looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Finance Manager to look after the day-to-day accounting, streamline the accounting processes, and help move the business forward on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a qualified and experienced Finance Manager with experience working in growing SMEs. Ideally, you are already self-employed, with at least 2 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

  1. Customer invoicing and sales ledger management
  2. Credit control and debtor reporting to directors
  3. Supplier invoices and purchase ledger management
  4. Drafting payment runs for approval
  5. Supplier reconciliations
  6. Bank postings and reconciliations
  7. Expense and credit card management and reconciliation
  8. VAT returns
  9. Payroll (possibly) and pension administration
  10. Month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
  11. Input into cashflow forecasts
As this role is two days a week (self-employed basis), it could work alongside other client work.

Rate of pay: £22.50 per hour
