Job description

Overview:

Football 2 Music is a unique and exciting way to teach football to young football enthusiasts aged 2 years and upwards. Our unique approach combines the skills and flair of indoor football with the rhythm and energy of music, creating a truly fun and engaging learning environment.

Using catchy beats and an upbeat tempo, our football training sessions will not only improve the players skills, but also keep them engaged and motivated throughout the session. Whether they are dribbling to the rhythm or scoring goals to the beat, our music-infused training sessions will make learning football a joyous and memorable experience.

Our mission is to create the best football and musically inspired experience for children, becoming their favourite activity of the week.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and aspiring Football Coach, who has the knowledge and passion required to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring children aged 2-9 years on how to play football and be active the right way – by having lots of fun in a positive and safe environment. This could be working with children who have previous football playing experience and the coaches role is to further develop their skills and help them flourish. Equally, this could be working with children who have never played football before and F2M could be their first ever experience. The coach will then play a vital role in ensuring they thoroughly enjoy their first experience and want to return each week.

Duties:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate training sessions for varying age groups

  • Accommodate for different group and individual needs within each session

  • Utilise the music to create a positive and pressure free learning environment, ensuring each session is fun and engaging

  • Deliver age appropriate training sessions that accommodate for individual and group needs

  • Educate players on the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect

  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to training and development

  • Assess players development for parent/guardian termly progress updates

Requirements:

  • Previous lead football coaching experience with players aged between 2 – 9 years (Essential – lead coach experience with children aged 2 – 6 years is an advantage)

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others (Essential)

  • A passion for working with grassroots players and believes in enjoyment and long-term player development over competition and winning (Essential)

  • Adopts an energetic and enthusiastic coaching style which is perhaps more suited to younger players (Essential)

  • Based within Milton Keynes (MK and LU Postcodes) and has the ability to do the weekend sessions and at least 2 after school sessions (Essential)

Benefits:

  • Hours available every week during term time within nurseries and schools

  • Extra activity camp hours available during school holidays

  • Additional hours available for ad-hoc birthday parties and events

  • A nice and comfortable working environment with all sessions being indoors (we have exclusive use of a modern sports hall for our weekly sessions)

  • Free onsite parking

  • Funding available towards training and qualifications

  • Player referral bonus for introducing new children to the programme

  • Subsidised spaces for your children on the programme

  • The opportunity to be part of other areas of the club beyond coaching as we continue to grow and expand, including business development and senior leadership roles
