C Coleman James is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor for a project in Newcastle. The role is flexible and part-time, roughly 1-2 days per week, with a focus on M&E, power, energy, or critical infrastructure projects.

You will manage subcontractor accounts, prepare valuations, monitor costs, and provide commercial support to the delivery team on a technically challenging project in Newcastle.

Competenze

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Background in M&E, power, energy, or critical infrastructure preferred.
• Strong experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and variations.
• Good understanding of cost reporting, forecasting and contract administration.
• Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on a flexible, part-time basis.

We are working with an established Principal Contractor who are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support on a project based in Newcastle.

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity, initially requiring approximately 1-2 days per week, ideally suited to an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering, power, energy, or critical infrastructure projects.
