Job summary

A leading construction consultancy is seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor in Northwest England. We're Hiring: Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Location: Northwest
Sectors: Retail/ Commercial/ Educational/ Hospitals
Project Types: Fit Out /Refurb/ New Build
Values: TBC
FREELANCE: £350-450 per day dependant on project
Duration: Short term, long term, ongoing

Duties of a Freelance Quantity Surveyor include but are not limited to:

• Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
• Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
• Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement
• Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
• Preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
• Maintaining quality control procedures.
• Health & Safety management.
• Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
• Ensure cash flow is maximised

Requirements for the Freelance Quantity Surveyor

• Minimum 4 years previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Experience working on main contractor side on a industrial projects
• Including, Pricing & forecasting, Procurement (materials, plant, labour), and Subcontractor management

Preferable

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
• Main contracting experience on new build high-rise residential projects
• UK driving license and access to own vehicle
