Gbemi was founded in 2021 by two sisters from London and seeks to redefine how women wear color. Known for our bold adventurous prints, bright colors, and cool graphics, each piece designed is a masterpiece in its own right. Gbemi aims to challenge conventional fashion norms and bring unique, artistic designs to life. Our brand emphasizes creativity, individuality, and style.

• As our Product Developer, you’ll work closely with our design assistant and founders to develop exceptional products from initial concept through to production. You’ll ensure that each piece not only aligns with our bold and playful aesthetic but also meets the highest standards in fit, quality, and functionality.

• Develop high-quality garments from sketch to sample, ensuring elevated execution across all styles
• Advise on the best fabrics, trims, and finishes for each garment, with a deep understanding of how to balance design, cost, and performance
• Fit garments and make precise amendments, giving feedback and direction to factories and pattern cutters
• Create detailed tech packs including specs, construction notes, and measurements
• Collaborate with our designer on construction and design development
• Communicate effectively with manufacturers to ensure smooth sampling and production cycles
• Ensure fit consistency, garment quality, and integrity across the full range
• Provide creative and technical solutions when issues arise during sampling/production

• Highly experienced in product development within womenswear (3+ years ideal)
• Skilled in creating and updating tech packs and communicating with manufacturers
• Confident in fitting garments, understanding fit issues, and suggesting clear technical corrections
• Knowledgeable about a wide range of fabrics and trims, especially for bold, statement pieces
• Detail-oriented, organised, and calm under pressure
• A great communicator with a can-do attitude
• Excited by fashion that’s confident, colourful, and unapologetic
