About Us: Vertical Drop is an independent podcast studio in Clerkenwell, producing high-quality video podcasts with crisp visuals and crystal-clear audio using industry-standard equipment.

The Role: We seek a technically skilled Studio Assistant to support our podcast production sessions. This freelance role is ideal for a student studying audio or sound engineering or someone with solid studio tech experience and an interest in content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment before and after recordings.
• Monitor and manage sound levels during sessions.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment such as:
• Zoom F6 recorder
• RGB/Colour Temp LED studio lighting
• Ensure all audio and video files are safely stored and backed up post-session.
• Maintain the studio space and manage equipment inventory.

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be based in London and able to work on-site in Clerkenwell.
• Experience with audio equipment in studio or live settings.
• Confidence handling DSLR camera setups and LED lighting.
• Currently studying or experienced in sound/audio engineering.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Flexible hours around recording sessions.
