Freelance Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Nordic Region

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freelance Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support our expanding operations in the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden). As a Freelance MSL, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions.


Responsibilities:

  1. KOL Engagement: Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the medical community across the Nordic region.
  2. Medical Education: Provide scientific and medical education to KOLs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on our products, therapeutic areas, and disease states.
  3. Clinical Support: Serve as a scientific resource and provide clinical support for healthcare providers, including responding to inquiries about our products and clinical data.
  4. Clinical Trials: Collaborate with investigators on clinical trials, including site identification, recruitment, and data dissemination.
  5. Strategic Input: Gather insights from KOLs and HCPs to inform medical strategies and contribute to the development of medical plans.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including Medical Affairs, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Development.
  7. Conference Participation: Represent the company at medical conferences, symposiums, and advisory boards to enhance scientific exchange and gather competitive intelligence.
  8. Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.

Requirements:

  1. Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
  2. Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with specific experience in the Nordic region preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of clinical research, pharmacology, and therapeutic areas relevant to the company's portfolio.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific information.
  5. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals.
  6. Self-motivated and able to work independently with a high degree of accountability.
  7. Fluency in English and proficiency in one or more Nordic languages (Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish).

Duration and Remuneration: This is a freelance position with a flexible duration based on project needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will include travel allowances and other relevant expenses.


Location: The position is home-based within the Nordic region, with frequent travel required to meet with KOLs and attend conferences.
