Warlord Games is looking for freelance Miniatures Painters to support our Studio with high-quality painted figures for packaging, photography, web images, books, marketing, events and internal reference.
This role is focused on figure painting rather than vehicles or terrain. We are looking for painters who can produce clean, attractive and consistent work on infantry, crews, characters, command models, heroes, monsters and related figure-based miniatures.
The work may include painting skin, faces, hands, cloth, leather, uniforms, armour, weapons, equipment, markings, insignia, small details and bases. Finished models need to be clear, readable and suitable for customer-facing product presentation.
We are looking for freelancers who can:
Paint figures to a high standard suitable for photography and publication.
Work from approved Product Definitions, Creative Briefs, visual direction, historical references, faction guides and agreed colour schemes.
Produce consistent work across units, ranges and product families.
Understand the difference between personal style and the needs of a specific product brief.
Communicate clearly about progress, missing information, practical issues and risks.
Respond constructively to review and diagnostic feedback.
Record colours, processes and schemes clearly where needed.
Meet agreed deadlines and hand over finished work properly.
How you work matters as much as the finished miniature.
We need people who can read a brief carefully, ask sensible questions early, work within agreed creative direction, and respond professionally to feedback. We are not looking for freelancers who disappear, ignore the brief, argue every note, or treat feedback as a personal insult. The miniatures are small. The professional standards are not.
