thebigword is looking for freelance interpreters to support NHS and Local Authority clients across Manchester, Kent and Sussex. You will provide on-site, video remote and telephone interpreting to help people with limited English access essential public services.

Preferred qualifications include a recognised interpreting qualification (not essential) and the right to work as a freelance interpreter in the UK; willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.

Formación

• Experience in Public Service Interpreting in NHS or Local Authority settings is valued.
• Must be freelance interpreter with right to work in the UK.
• Preference for a recognised interpreting qualification, but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Provide on-site interpreting in Manchester, Kent or Sussex.
• Deliver video remote interpreting and telephone interpreting as required.
• Support NHS and Local Authority clients to help speakers access essential services.

thebigword is looking for freelance interpreters to support NHS and Local Authority clients, helping people with limited English access essential public services.

We have opportunities in Manchester, Kent and Sussex across:

• On-site, in-person interpreting
• Video remote interpreting
• Telephone interpreting

Preferred requirements

We have demand at present for Albanian. Arabic Modern Standard, Cantonese, Dari (Afghan Persian), Kurdish Sorani, Mandarin, Oromo, Polish, Romanian, Spanish (Spain), Tigrinya, Twi, Ukrainian, Urdu and rare language African and South Asian languages/dialects, but all languages will be considered.
