Job description

NOCN Group is seeking a freelance End Point Assessor/IQA with extensive experience as a Construction Plant Operative to conduct End Point Assessments for the Construction Plant Operative apprenticeship Standard.

Location: Travel may be required to sites

Hours: Freelance

Purpose and Objectives:

• Ensure assessments are conducted independently and meet NOCN's quality standards.
• Complete assessments following the prescribed assessment instruments within the End Point Assessment plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess apprentices against Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours during tests, observations, and interviews as per the assessment plan.
• Upload assessment reports promptly in line with service level agreements.
• Prepare for assessments efficiently and identify gaps in apprentices' KSBs.
• Build rapport with apprentices to facilitate their best performance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge through ongoing CPD in their subject area.
• Represent NOCN professionally during assessments.
• Adhere to GDPR and ensure data security.
• Moderate other assessors' work following internal quality assurance procedures.

Role Requirements:

• Hold or be working towards an Assessor Qualification (e.g., CAVA/A1).
• Operational experience: Forklift (1 year), Ride-on Roller (1 year), Excavator 360 (2 years), Dumper or Dump Truck (1 year).
• CSCS Card at competent operator, trainer, tester, or instructor level, endorsed for all relevant plant categories.
