We work with a wide range of clients, including local authorities, legal firms, medical related appointments, and private businesses. Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilled interpreters in various languages to join our network.

The Role

As a Freelance Interpreter, You Will:

1. Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providers.
2. Interpret in various settings, such as Courts, Law Firms, Social Services, and other medical settings.
3. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
4. Work on an ad-hoc basis, accepting assignments that fit your schedule.

Requirements

1. Fluency in English and at least one other language.
2. Previous interpreting/translation experience is essential.
3. Must provide a valid/current Enhanced DBS check.
4. Must be eligible for self-employment in the UK.
5. Must have two professional interpreting/translation employment references.
6. Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills.
7. Ability to travel to assignments (for on-site roles) or work remotely for phone/video interpreting.
8. Have ongoing access to internet and e-mail.
9. Be able to provide an accurate, confidential, and impartial service.
10. Qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelines.
