Job summary

Beacon is seeking a specialist tutor to support higher education students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. You will develop Individual Learning Plans and act as a facilitator to help students build independent study skills using ASC-focused strategies.

The role requires substantial ASC experience in HE/FE, appropriate training, and the ability to work face-to-face with students. A dedicated CPD programme and supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with ASC in higher or further education.
• Teaching qualification and CPD training related to ASC.
• Educated to degree level with a willingness to meet face-to-face with students.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to students with ASC to improve study skills.
• Develop and implement an Individual Learning Plan (ILP).
• Facilitate learning strategies and ASCs related study techniques.
• Meet students face-to-face as required and manage own caseload.
• Participate in induction and CPD events; work as part of a professional team.
