Join the John Lewis Partnership as a Fraud & Investigations Specialist responsible for preventing and detecting fraud within the organization. Your role includes managing investigations, utilizing data, and providing insights to leadership while contributing to the improvement of fraud prevention measures. The position offers a hybrid working model and a fixed-term secondment until July 2026, based in Bracknell.

Expected salary - £48,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract type - This position is a Secondment/Fixed Term contract until July 2026
Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team typically spends up to 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.
Location - The role can be based at either our Bracknell or Pimlico campus based on your preference. Some ad hoc travel to other locations will also be required
Key responsibilities
Detecting and investigating significant policy, procedure, and internal/external crime breaches within the John Lewis Partnership, ensuring investigations are resolved to the highest standards.
Conduct timely assessments of all intelligence and data sources, prioritising high-value and complex cases while supporting other investigations.
Implement continuous improvement in our investigations methodologies and approaches.
Support the completion of the annual Fraud Risk Assessment, identifying areas for enhanced control measures.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for corporate investigations, providing expert guidance and support.
Manage the entire lifecycle of Corporate Fraud Investigations, including conducting detailed investigative interviews where required. Provide comprehensive recommendations and summarise findings, assessing the impact on the Partnership (Partners, Process, and Profit).
Ensure all investigations are accurately recorded, documented, and compliant with Partnership policy and relevant laws.
Develop effective operational relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate effectively with other Partners to ensure optimal results for the Partnership.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
Solid experience in risk assessing corporate functions for fraud risks and recommending appropriate controls.
Demonstrable experience in detecting and investigating corporate fraud, including conducting investigative interviews (e.g., bribery, internal theft).
Thorough practical understanding of Failure to Prevent Fraud offence, with ability to support senior leadership with advice
Effective ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to mitigate risk.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to effectively analyse data from various sources.
