The Trust team works to build trust and keep bad actors out of all sides of our marketplace: consumers, riders, and partners. You will work within our fraud operations team to translate questions and hypotheses into structured analysis, help the business understand root causes of issues, and highlight areas of improvement for our product and data science teams. To succeed in this role, you must have analytical and data presentation skills, be focused on completing tasks, and support everyone on the team.

What you will be doing?

  • Work directly with business, tech, and stakeholder teams to translate questions and hypotheses into structured analysis.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and communicate them to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Define, measure, and track success metrics for changes to our fraud controls.
  • Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable team scaling.
  • Create, build, and maintain documentation to support our business processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation.
  • Participate in quarterly and strategic planning discussions.
  • Report to the Senior Manager, Fraud Operations.

What you will need?

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in data querying, wrangling, transformation, and SQL.
  • Data visualization and presentation skills using BI tools (Looker preferred).
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • A curiosity to learn and develop in the fraud domain.
  • Prior experience working at a tech company.
  • Experience in fraud/abuse analytics is preferred.
