Job summary

Alexander Barnes is recruiting a Head of Fraud Analytics for a fast-growing fintech in the UK. You will own the fraud analytics strategy across onboarding, transactions, and ongoing prevention, shaping how detection, measurement, and controls deliver security without harming the customer experience.

Leading a high-performing team of analysts, you’ll partner with Product, Risk, Operations and Leadership to translate data into strategic decisions, launch new products, and continually improve fraud

Qualifications

• Significant fraud analytics leadership experience in fintech or payments.
• Strong expertise in card fraud and customer lifecycle risk management.
• Advanced SQL; Python experience is advantageous.
• Proven track record leading analytical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills for senior leadership.
• Deep knowledge of UK fraud landscape and regulatory developments.

Responsibilities

• Own fraud analytics strategy across onboarding, transaction monitoring, and ongoing prevention.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of fraud analysts.
• Design, monitor and optimise fraud rules and controls to minimise losses while preserving customer experience.
• Identify new data sources and analytical approaches to strengthen detection.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Operations and Leadership to influence decisions with data insights.
• Lead analytics initiatives for new product launches and strategic projects.
• Present recommendations and performance insights to senior stakeholders.
