Job description

It’s an exciting time to join the Retail Insurance Pricing team here at AXA UK as we’re looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Fraud & Underwriting Analytics team, working transversally across our Home and Motor products. You will work on insight and analytics for policy fraud and underwriting in order to support the Intelligence and Policy Validation teams, and Pricing teams with respect to underwriting considerations.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Aid in the creation and development of impact analyses which focus on the financial and operational implications of fraud and underwriting proposals
  • Maintain, develop and improve existing and future preventative and predictive solutions in order to optimise our underwriting footprint and counter fraud barrier
  • Aid in the migration, automation and running of MI reports that help support the work carried out by the Policy Validation and Intelligence teams
  • Build MI dashboards that visualize underlying structures and trends in our fraud and underwriting data to inform stakeholders
  • Form working relationships across the business and become knowledgeable on all aspects of the operational model of a large personal lines insurer
  • Develop own skills and share ideas and methods with peers

Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.

What we’re looking for:

  • Numerical degree and strong mathematical/logical capabilities
  • Critical and analytical approach to structuring and solving problems
  • Effective communication to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exposure to coding languages such as Python, SAS, SQL, R and VBA
  • Exposure to presenting and visualizing data
  • Strong drive to deliver and comfortable collaborating in a team

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.

But never too big to care for every single person who works here. So when you join us, we promise to put our collective might behind you and your career.

You’ll work in an open and supportive environment where you’ll be developed, challenged and encouraged to move around to achieve even bigger and better things – nationally and internationally. You’ll learn directly from senior leaders, from the best in our business. And you’ll enjoy real responsibility, really early on.
