About the Role:

Yorkshire Water Contract – Lanes / SUS

We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network for the next five years and beyond!

We are currently recruiting for a Frame & Cover Operator to join our team, deliveringexceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area, Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives.

Due to a contract win we are looking for applicants all around the Yorkshire Regions

Working Hours & Location

  • Location: Malton

Responsibilities

· Maintain great customer service and communication

· Adhere to company absence reporting procedure

· Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet

· Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.

· Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor

· Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness

· Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures

· Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

· Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various task.

· Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

· Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bringing to your supervisor’s attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment.

· Ensuring on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits

· Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently.

· Excavate by hand (not solely reliant on machinery).

· Replace gullies with precision and care.

· Complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).

· Ensuring highway compliance with reinstatement to avoid defects

· Be able to read and understand Drainage plans.

· Maintain accurate records of works completed, including materials used and time spent on each task.

· Recording photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed

Skills below are Desirable but not essential unless detailed required.

· Full UK driving license (Required)

· NPORS

· Banksman

· Manual Handling

· Emergency First Aid

· NRSWA

· EUSR National Water Hygiene

Asbestos Awareness

· Slinger and Signaller
