Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a forward-thinking Sister/Charge Nurse for the Frailty Assessment Unit. The role is a part-time 24 hours per week post at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, leading a nursing team to deliver high-quality elderly care.

The successful candidate will have NMC registration, an advanced nursing diploma and a proven leadership track record. Salary £39,959–£48,117 per year, pro rata for part-time staff, with NHS benefits and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration and current practice
• Advanced diploma in nursing studies or equivalent
• National practice assessor training or ENB998 teaching qualification or equivalent
• Evidence of degree-level academic achievement or working towards degree

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care programmes for elderly patients
• Lead a team of qualified nurses, care support workers and students
• Take charge of the ward and coordinate with MDT, A&E and SPA
• Support Senior Sister/Senior Charge Nurse in maintaining high standards of care
