Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to work on the Leighton Hospital frailty/rehab wards. The role involves supporting qualified therapists, carrying out delegated assessments, and contributing to a seven-day service in an acute hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ months as a Band 3 therapy assistant and 12+ months NHS experience, especially on acute wards. Progressive post opportunities are possible within the team.

Qualifications

• Acute ward experience is essential.
• At least 12 months NHS experience on acute wards is preferred.
• Experience as a Band 3 therapy assistant is required.
• Previous Band 4 experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management and treatment of patients under guidance of a qualified clinician.
• Follow departmental protocols and guidelines, referring to a clinician for advice.
• Independently carry out assessments, interventions and programmes as planned.
• Monitor and report progress and hold a caseload as delegated.
• Contribute to seven-day service and input data for monthly reports.
