Job summary

Arthur Edward in East Sussex seeks a Fragrance Analyst Manager to lead and grow the UK analytical team, coordinating across locations. You will analyse fragrance concentrates and market products using GC-MS, and expand libraries for fragrance and competitor products.

The role requires a Chemistry degree (Master’s preferred), strong GC-MS expertise, leadership, and collaboration with perfumers and marketing to drive market-ready fragrances while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s qualification in Chemistry.
• Extensive hands-on experience in fragrance analysis.
• Leadership experience with excellent communication skills and GC-MS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the UK Analytical team across locations.
• Analyse fragrance concentrates and market products using GC-MS.
• Conduct raw material and fragrance base analyses for regulatory needs.
• Expand and maintain fragrance and competitor GC-MS libraries.
• Optimise analytical methodologies and sample prep techniques.
• Collaborate with Perfumers, Evaluators, Marketing and Sales on new products.
• Support calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment.
• Drive technical excellence and training across analytics.
