Job summary

Tails.com is seeking a Fractional Product Leader to cover parental leave for ~2 days per week over ~9 months in a London-based role. You will mentor the Head of Product and Product Design, partner with the Head of Product and design leads, and elevate product craft within a fast-growing ecommerce organisation.

You’ll focus on team effectiveness, establishing best practices, and guiding a team through a period of transformation, while staying hands-on with the team to ensure high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in product leadership roles such as Head of Product, Director or VP.
• Experience spanning both physical and digital product, preferably in ecommerce or retail.
• Executive-level credibility in product craft with practical judgement.
• Experience working directly with in-house software engineering teams and product trios.
• Strong grounding in discovery and experimentation within modern agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing and embedding a discovery process the team can run consistently.
• Designing and embedding an experimentation framework and evaluation method.
• Collaborating with engineering leadership to improve product and engineering ways of working.
• Connecting product outcomes to financial forecasting and P&L management.
• Providing mentoring to the Head of Product and Product Design and the wider team.
