About KIT Studios

KIT Studios is a purpose-led, culturally fluent agency at the intersection of PR, talent management, and brand storytelling in the global hair industry. We collaborate with some of the most exciting names in the business, from visionary hairdressers to culture-shaping brands, crafting campaigns, content, and connections that drive cultural relevance and commercial growth. Our team is female-founded, values-driven, and creatively ambitious.

The Role

We’re seeking a Fractional Managing Director to lead KIT Studios through a pivotal phase of growth, transformation, and brand evolution. This is a high-impact, leadership role ideal for someone who combines sharp commercial acumen with a creative sensibility and thrives in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.

You’ll play a key role in refining our strategic direction, overseeing operations, nurturing team development, and cultivating client relationships, all while bringing a fresh, culturally attuned perspective to how we grow.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Agency Leadership
  • Shape and drive the agency’s long-term vision, strategic direction, and brand positioning.
  • Act as a sparring partner to the founder, offering critical insights into scaling, innovation, and opportunity development.
Operational Oversight
  • Own the day-to-day running of the agency, ensuring smooth workflows, clear priorities, and operational efficiency across projects and people.
  • Optimise systems and processes to support our next phase of growth.
Team & Culture Management
  • Mentor and guide a talented team of creatives and strategists, setting clear objectives and nurturing professional development.
  • Foster a culture that is collaborative, high-performing, and purpose-aligned.
Client Oversight & Brand Stewardship
  • Maintain oversight of key client relationships, ensuring we consistently deliver value, insight, and cultural impact.
  • Lead strategic reviews, support client growth, and ensure client-facing work remains best-in-class.
Growth & New Business
  • Identify new commercial opportunities, from partnerships and new clients that lead to productised service offerings.
  • Support proposal development, pitch leadership, and new business strategy.
Financial Oversight
  • Track budgets, monitor agency financial health, and support forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance partners or accountants to ensure financial clarity and transparency.
Cultural & Social-First Thinking
  • Bring a modern, plugged-in perspective on content, trends, and communication.
  • Shape how we show up culturally—both for our clients and as an agency—across PR, socials, and brand comms.
You’ll Bring
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a leadership role within a creative agency, studio, or fast-growth startup, ideally in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or cultural sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the hairdressing industry and its influence in culture and media.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, clients, and commercial strategy with clarity and creativity.
  • Empathetic leadership style with excellent people management skills.
  • Deep understanding of PR, social media, and content ecosystems.
  • Solid financial fluency: you can read a P&L and make informed decisions.
  • An entrepreneurial, roll-up-your-sleeves approach—ready to lead from the front and build something meaningful.
Why Join Us?

KIT Studios is more than an agency, we’re a cultural platform and creative collective. If you’re excited by purpose-driven work, progressive creative thinking, and the power of beauty to shape culture, this is your opportunity to leave a lasting mark.

You’ll be joining a small, visionary team during an exciting chapter. There’s room to lead, shape, and evolve the agency alongside people who care deeply and think boldly.
