Location: Remote-first (London availability preferred)

Start Date: July 2025

Contract: Freelance, 1–2 days/week initially, growing to 3–4 days/week in 2026

Rate: £350–£500/day (commensurate with experience)

The Role: We’re seeking a Fractional Managing Director to lead KIT Studios through a pivotal phase of growth, transformation, and brand evolution. This leadership role is ideal for someone with sharp commercial acumen, a creative sensibility, and experience in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.

You’ll play a key role in refining strategic direction, overseeing operations, nurturing team development, and cultivating client relationships, bringing a culturally attuned perspective to growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic & Agency Leadership: Shape and drive the agency’s vision, strategic direction, and brand positioning. Act as a sparring partner to the founder, offering insights into scaling and innovation.
• Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensure workflows, and optimize systems for growth.
• Team & Culture Management: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Client Oversight & Brand Stewardship: Maintain key client relationships, deliver value, and lead strategic reviews.
• Growth & New Business: Identify new opportunities, support proposals, and lead pitches.
• Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, financial health, and collaborate on forecasting.
• Cultural & Social-First Thinking: Bring a modern perspective on content, trends, and communication, shaping the agency’s cultural presence.

You’ll Bring:

• 3–5+ years’ leadership experience in a creative agency, studio, or startup, preferably in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or cultural sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the hairdressing industry and its cultural/media influence.
• Proven ability to lead teams, clients, and strategy with clarity and creativity.
• Empathetic leadership and excellent people management skills.
• Deep understanding of PR, social media, and content ecosystems.
• Financial fluency: ability to read P&L and make informed decisions.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to leadership and building impactful initiatives.
