MRK Associates is seeking a Fractional Finance Director for A.L.O.B. Ltd, a leading sports retail brand. • Knowledge of d2c online sales and ideally experience working with Amazon.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the senior management team on strategy.
• Lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and analysis.
• Assess and guide on commercial performance across all business areas.
• Responsible for all accounting processes including budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee a team ensuring accurate management of invoices and bank reconciliations.
• Liaison with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Manage payroll and the company pension scheme.
• Maintain documentation with companies house and contracts.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fractional Finance Director to lead the financial function as part of the SMT within our business. The position is most likely to be c.2 days a week but this is flexible depending on advice and requirements in line with the business needs. This pivotal role requires both a hands-on & strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial management and value creation in a D2C ecommerce environment. It is a great opportunity for someone to come in and review commercial drivers, current processes and implement changes to drive growth and improvement through the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company's development and ensuring operational excellence

Key Responsibilities:

Finance:

• SMT: Collaborate with the senior management team supporting the analysis of and shaping the strategy for the Company.
• Strategy & Planning: Lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and analysis to support business growth and profitability across the company P&L.
• Commercial: Assess, analyse and guide on commercial performance across all business areas - customer, product, margin, pricing, opportunity.
• Financial reporting: Responsible for the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes - including budgeting, forecasting and monthly management accounts including cash flow forecasting.
• Team Management: Overseeing team of 2, ensuring accurate management of supplier invoices, bank reconciliations and ad-hoc orders and VAT.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaison with all key stakeholders both internally and externally where necessary and relevant.
• Payroll - Manage payroll and company pension scheme
• Corporate - Responsible for maintaining documentation with companies house, trademarks organisations and contracts with trade partners.

Key Requirements

Experience:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with strong academic achievement.
• Proven experience in a senior financial role within an e-commerce or retail B2B & B2C environment.
• Knowledge of d2c online sales experience (due to volume of transactions) is critical and ideally experience of working with Amazon.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
