MRK Talent Solutions Ltd, on behalf of an early-stage media SaaS business in London, seeks a Fractional CFO to work on a hybrid basis with occasional London office presence.
The role partners with the founder, leads the financial plan, manages cash runway, and supports SEIS/EIS fundraising and investor communications. Strong modelling, SaaS/tech familiarity, and experience with startups are essential.
MRK Talent Solutions are proud to be exclusively partnering with an early-stage media SaaS technology business to recruit a Fractional CFO in London, working on a hybrid basis with London office based work when needed
This job would suit an experienced ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified finance professional to be responsible for partnering with the founder, investor communication, management of the financial plan, and all cash management whilst managing the outsourced accounting once in place.
Our client is establishing its UK operations and has developed innovative technology for the media sector based on the ongoing challenges that the founder has in his previous media career. The business is preparing for £2M EIS fundraising and putting the financial foundations in place to support its growth. This offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced entrepreneur and influence the business from an early stage.
The successful individual will be commercially minded, with strong financial modelling and forecasting skills and experience supporting start-up or early-stage or high‑growth businesses. A background in technology or SaaS will be needed and knowledge of the media industry would be ideal. Experience in handling investor discussions and challenging financial assumptions will be essential. A practical approach and the ability to build a close working relationship with the founder will be key.
Bookkeeping will be managed separately, allowing the Fractional CFO to concentrate on financial planning, fundraising, investor readiness and strategic support.
The initial commitment is expected to be approximately 3 to 5 days per month for the first six months, with additional time around onboarding and key fundraising milestones. This is anticipated to increase to approximately 4 to 6 days per month in the second half of the year as the business becomes operational. There is potential for the role to develop into a permanent, full-time position as the business grows.
Interviews are happening in person in London on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th November.
This is a great opportunity for a Fractional CFO looking to join an ambitious start‑up in the SaaS space.
