Job description

FPGA Engineer

This isn’t just product development - it’s the creation of a cutting-edge system that will shape future technologies from the ground up.

The opportunity:
Join a business-critical greenfield project at a pivotal stage, with full ownership of FPGA design on a brand-new system. You’ll be hands-on in defining how the FPGA integrates into the broader product architecture, utilizing modern hardware and collaborating closely with both hardware and embedded software teams. Your role will be instrumental – enabling the RF chain, handling signal processing, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in modern FPGA development.

What we need:

  • Expertise in FPGA development using VHDL / Verilog
  • Strong understanding of system-level design
  • Ideally experience with Xilinx toolchain - Vivado, Zynq/ZU boards

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with SoC
  • Radar system experience
  • Working knowledge of DSP in FPGA environments

What you'll do:
Take ownership of a key part of the system architecture, working alongside a permanent DSP specialist and senior hardware engineers. You’ll be involved from device selection to schematic design, integration, and lab-based testing.

Why join:
This is an opportunity to step into a senior-level role with genuine influence over the technical direction of a new product. This is ground-up, forward-looking design using the latest tools and platforms. Expect plenty of autonomy, technical challenge, and the chance to leave your mark on a flagship product.

What’s on offer:

  • Salary: Up to circa £65K (flexible depending on experience)
  • Hybrid working (typically 3 days onsite)
  • Location: South West London
