Job description

We're looking for a talented FPGA Design Engineer to join our team, working on safety-critical FPGA development across the full design lifecycle - from requirements elicitation through to final equipment testing.

In this role, you'll use SCRUM methodology to develop high-integrity, FPGA-based solutions using the latest state-of-the-art toolsets. Your work will contribute directly to the protection and monitoring systems of a nuclear propulsion plant, where precision, innovation, and safety are paramount.

What you will be doing:
  1. Follow a safety-critical development lifecycle to develop requirements, VHDL code, support hardware-based testing, and author and review design documentation.
  2. Liaise with Software, Hardware, Systems, and Verification teams to ensure customer expectations are met effectively and efficiently.
  3. Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and product quality.
Position qualifications:
  • Degree qualification (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5 or more years' experience in designing and verifying VHDL-based designs.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate technical reports.
  • Knowledge and experience of safety standards such as IEC 61513, IEC 62566, IEC 26262, DO‑254.
