Job summary

twentyAI in London is seeking an experienced FP&A contractor for an initial six-month period. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, with hands-on financial modelling and open collaboration with senior leadership.

The position requires advanced Excel skills and experience in FP&A, ideally within financial services. On-site presence 3–4 days per week is expected, with exposure to Power BI or OneStream advantageous.

• Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Treasury and commercial stakeholders to provide financial insights.
• Improve reporting processes, data quality and financial planning infrastructure.
• Support strategic projects, business planning and ad hoc financial analysis.

FP&A Transformation Consultant – Financial Services | 6-Month Contract

Location: London - in office 3-4 days PW

Contract: 6 months

Start: Immediate

The Opportunity

We are working with a well-capitalised financial services business looking to appoint an experienced FP&A contractor for an initial six-month period.

The business is undergoing significant growth and development, creating an opportunity to help build and improve its financial planning, forecasting and management reporting capabilities.

Working closely with the Head of Finance and senior leadership, this is a hands-on role requiring someone commercially minded, technically strong and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, revenue projections and cost management.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, scenario analysis and sensitivity assessments.
• Develop monthly management reporting, KPI dashboards and senior leadership presentations.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Treasury and commercial stakeholders to provide financial insights.
• Improve reporting processes, data quality and financial planning infrastructure.
• Support strategic projects, business planning and ad hoc financial analysis.

Experience Required

• Experience within FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance.
• Financial services experience strongly preferred, ideally within banking, investment management, asset management or lending.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling capabilities.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis.
• Comfortable building financial models, reporting processes and frameworks from scratch.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leadership.
• Power BI, OneStream or similar reporting tools advantageous.
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA qualification advantageous but not essential.
• Immediately available or able to start at short notice.
