Job summary

Camino Search is supporting a leading services business in London on an Interim Head of FP&A assignment. The role focuses on shaping financial strategy, enhancing reporting, and driving performance through data-led insights during a six-month engagement.

The role requires 7–10 years of FP&A experience, strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, and proven ability to work with large datasets and interact with the CFO and private equity stakeholders.

Qualifications

• >7–10 years FP&A experience, preferably in PE-backed services/projects.
• Proven ability to distill insights for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine financial models to assess performance and forecast growth.
• Enhance board reporting packs to satisfy private equity stakeholders.
• Lead development of a new KPI framework and model key metrics impact.
• Work with data lake to consolidate data from multiple sources and present clear insights to CFO and leadership.

Job description

We are working with a leading services business with private equity investment, embarking on an exciting phase of transformation and growth following a recent exit to private equity. As they scale, they are seeking an Interim Head of FP&A to support the CFO and leadership team in driving financial insight and strategic decision-making for six months.

Up to £950 per day

The Role

This is a high-impact role ideal for a commercially minded finance professional with 7 -10 years of experience in FP&A, within a PE-backed environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy, enhancing reporting, and driving performance through data-led insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and refine financial models to assess business performance, forecast growth, and support strategic initiatives.
• Work directly with the CFO to enhance the board reporting pack, ensuring it meets the expectations of private equity stakeholders.
• Lead the development and refinement of a new KPI framework, modelling the impact of key metrics on business performance.
• Be hands-on with data/financial modelling, being entrenched within the data lake of the business to consolidate and interpret data from multiple sources, presenting clear, concise insights to the CFO and senior leadership.

About You:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in FP&A, ideally with a services/project based revenue model
• Strong PE-backed business exposure
• Strong financial modelling and Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Proven ability to work with large datasets and distil insights for senior stakeholders.
• Experience improving board reporting and KPI frameworks.
• Commercially astute with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
