Job summary

Simmons & Simmons is seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join its FP&A team in London. In this mid-level role you will design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to provide the finance community with timely insights for strategic decisions.

You will work with finance partners and senior leadership, translating requirements into robust reporting solutions. Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards in a professional environment.
• Strong business analyst capabilities, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail with a rigorous approach to testing, data validation and QA before deployment.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Solid understanding of financial data, FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).
• Confident communicator, able to present to analysts up to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to finance needs (FP&A, management accounting, senior leadership).
• Engage with finance stakeholders to gather and document requirements, applying business analyst skills.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, user-friendly visualisations to drive insight and decision-making.
• Test reports and dashboards thoroughly prior to release to ensure accuracy and alignment with requirements.
• Manage the full lifecycle of reporting development from scoping to delivery and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to improve reports, data models, and the overall reporting infrastructure.
• Communicate with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority; prepare executive-level presentations.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for reports, data sources, and development processes.
• Support FP&A team with ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests.
