Job summary

Nomad Foods UKI is seeking an FP&A Manager to support monthly variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for our European leaders. You will build and maintain financial models, analyze KPIs and partner with Shared Finance to drive performance insights.

The ideal candidate is a finalist in ACCA/ACA/CIMA with 3+ years FMCG finance experience and strong Excel skills, ready to impact strategic decision making.

Qualifications

  • Finalist ACCA/ACA/CIMA or international equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in reporting and forecasting.
  • Previous Finance experience within an FMCG business.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly variance analysis and explanations, posting accurals and journals with Shared Finance.
  • Assimilate data from multiple systems to identify trends for KPIs, budgets and forecasts.
  • Own key daily and monthly reports including VPMC, Daily sales and rebates.
  • Prepare drivers of historic, current and forecast performance for UKI and explain variances.
  • Maintain Forecast & Budget reports for leadership with guidance from Head of FP&A UKI.
  • Develop routine and ad hoc financial models to aid decision making.

Overview

Nomad Foods was formed in 2015 and with revenues of €2.6bn is the largest frozen food company in Europe. Nomad owns a portfolio of leading brands including Birds Eye, Findus and iglo, supplemented in 2018 with the purchase of Goodfellas Pizza and Aunt Bessie’s, and in 2021 with the purchase of Ledo and Frikom.

We manufacture and distribute a range of branded frozen food products across 22 European countries with the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Sweden and France representing our five largest markets.

The long-term goal of Nomad is to develop a global portfolio of best-in-class food brands by growing organically and through strategic M&A.

The FP&A Manger is responsible for supporting on the annual planning, forecasting, reporting and analytics for our business units and central functions, including standard management reporting. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs and as a key financial liaison, partnering with the various departments across the business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Support monthly variance analysis and explanations, preparation and posting of necessary accruals and journals alongside the Shared Finance Cluster Teams, by using local knowledge to enrich narrative for Nomads largest Cluster at €1bn Revenue
  • Responsible for assimilating data from multiple systems and stakeholders to identify trends for KPIs, budgets and forecasts
  • Ownership of key daily and monthly reports which include the VPMC, Daily sales, Rebate reports, Lumpsums, CLV downloads and Analysis File
  • Prepare drivers of historic, current and forecast performance for UKI & prepare monthly analysis, insight and explanation of performance, highlighting emerging issues or trends and making recommendations on corrective actions

  • Maintain and produce Forecast & Budget reports for leadership with guidance from Head of FP&A UKI
  • Produce routine and ad hoc financial models to support leadership, FBPs and FP&A Group in decision making
  • Facilitate standardisation and sharing of best practice across the Market Finance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Support automation and enterprise consolidation of data used in monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports
  • Prepare / Review SOX controls and ensure compliance. Support all audit requests. SOX 08.01, GAM05.03
Qualifications

Essential

  • Part qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or international equivalent). Expected to be at finalist stage
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in, reporting and forecasting
  • Previous Finance experience within an FMCG business
  • Strong excel skills
