Overview

FP&A Manager (Financial Planning & Analysis Manager) - Financial Control  Location: Nottingham/Hybrid  Full-time Finance Leadership

A flexible hybrid role based from our Nottingham head office with travel to some of our other sites weekly.

As our new Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving our group financial strategy, supporting bold decision-making, and helping us deliver sustainable financial growth.

This is a high-impact role for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on turning data into direction. You'll be part of our finance leadership team, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver insight, clarity, and confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Own the 3-Year Plan process, delivering long-range forecasts and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions.
  • Budget Leadership: Drive the annual budgeting cycle, aligning assumptions, timelines, and deliverables across departments.
  • Forecasting Excellence: Lead monthly forecasting, ensuring accuracy and agility to support evolving business needs.
  • Reporting & Insight: Deliver weekly and monthly financial reports that integrate site and commercial performance, turning numbers into actionable insight.
  • Cost Control & Recharges: Oversee central cost allocations and recharges, ensuring transparency and alignment with internal agreements.
  • Build out the full FP&A models and CAPEX reporting for the Group
  • Credit & Investor Support: Prepare quarterly packs for credit insurers and support investor relations and M&A activity with robust financial modelling and due diligence.
  • Team Leadership: With the management responsibilities of one direct report, you will also mentor and coach across the finance team, fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Deputise for the Head of FP&A as required, giving career progression and opportunity.
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3+ years post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience in FP&A or commercial finance role
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Comfortable working at pace, balancing detail with big-picture thinking
  • A natural coach and team player, with a passion for developing others
  • Driving Licence to access other sites/travel
